Giving Thanks for Grace and Faith ~ Smiles and Inspiration 2012 ~ Volume 1 Issue 18 Day 322 of 365 11/18/11

Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death.

~Author Unknown

The power of prayer how indescribable it is to a person who lacks in faith.  Who does not understand the grace of God.

Those with out this faith and understanding will have hunger for that fuel that fills the believer and the quiet still patience of God's grace.

As a believer we have that duty to give thanks for this quiet and peaceful faith in God.

We always go about our day with so many things that come in our path that need done.

Work, being a parent, personal growth are just a few things we do to make things better and these things along with many others are indeed a part of life.

When we hit a speed bump, a curve in the road we will for that moment wonder why this is happening to us.  Why can't life be smooth and the wind always be at our sails.  We wonder and in the same breath we understand that life is not what happens to us it truly is what we do when we come along these unexpected happenings.

With faith we believe and choose to make a difference than those with out that faith.
We overcome with the grace of God.
We overcome with prayer and faith.

We all know this but seldom to we take the time out in advance to prepare for that next speed bump or curve in the road.

Today give thanks for those speed bumps for they make us stronger.
Today give thanks for those blind curves as they help us to see with more attention.

Today give thanks for the grace of God is a gift to all.

For those who believe and yeah even for those who lack that faith.

It is there for them as well.

Smiles to you across the many miles that separate us but the common thread we all share.

The desire to be happy and to make another smile a bit longer.

Make that difference today!

Your Daily Prayer

Lord, thank you for your grace.  Thank you for your word.

Thank you for the gift of life and faith that your grace is enough.

May I appreciate life each day, the gift of love that you have placed in all of our hearts from birth.

May I talk time to share that love not only with myself but others.

Help me to make a difference during this season of thanksgiving but also guide me to have this heart and spirit the rest of the year.

May this season of Thanksgiving be one where I can not only feel gratitude but also share with those who may need to feel the same gift of joy and love.

May I be a better listener a better light that shines upon another persons life.

I thank you for the gift of my family, my friends and for the gift of life.

I give you praise and the glory for all of that

With humility and gratitude I thank you

Amen

On Trust ~ Smiles and Inspiration 2012 ~ Volume 1 Issue 13 Day 317 of 365

To start this day with a video, 5 minutes and 33 seconds of beautiful music and some images that will lead us into this essay on trust.  The song Trust, the band, Cure.

Best to be listened with a coffee and ear phones... Enjoy : )

Mostly music but the lyrics start off with:

there's no-one left in the world
that i can hold onto
there is really no-one left at all
there is only you
~ Lyrics from the song trust by Cure

Have you ever felt that alone?

We all have I am sure but when we have faith at a higher level we should never feel alone.

Not writing about religion here just some spiritual belief that their is something more.

For me a Christian that is God.  I trust, I believe but yes at times I still feel alone.

Maybe its not a trust in others at much as its a trust in ourselves.

The image in the video of a little girl walking a fence one step at a time thats trust in herself.

The next image a ballerina in pose with confidence and trust in her training, ours of practice and training in front of a mirror.

Does the girl ever fall? Probably she has but she gets back up and walks that fence again.
Does the dancer ever stumble in her dance, sure but she practices and tries again until she perfects it.

Thats how we get trust, in first believing in ourselves.

A man who doesn't trust himself can never really trust anyone else."

- Cardinal De Retz

United States Currency states 'In God We Trust',  but we have also have to trust in ourselves, in the common good of decency and in love for one another.

We are all one nation, one race, one and all we are after the same.

Love,  Joy, Happiness, Security, Laughter, Health

To trust is to share in what comes from within.

Share that smile and make a difference.

Share that laughter and pass along the joy.

Share your love but always love you first.

Smiles sent your way today and everyday : )

Importance of Others ~ Smiles and Inspiration 2012 ~ Volume 1 Issue 12 Day 316 of 365

Everyone has an invisible sign

hanging from their neck saying,

'Make me feel important.'

Never forget this message when working with people.

~Mary Kay Ash

Yesterday was Veterans Day, I day selected by our Congress in 1954.  The original day was Armistice Day and that day was founded in 1919 by Woodrow Wilson.

In a speech President Wilson wrote:

"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations."

Words that stand out to me are words like pride, heroism, service and gratitude.

These words stand out to me because we have so much pride for our heros our service men and women and their families.  Their service we owe much to and we need not just give them one day but every day express our gratitude.

It is important to express these feelings to our heros more than just November 11th.

We can all learn a lesson from these men and women who serve us.

The pride for country, for duty and honor that send them out to protect our borders and protect it all for future generations.   What qualities they have that send them out into harms way for all of us.

Amazing is one word but there are many more.

So thank you may we always, all of us make you feel important and recognized not just for one day of course but everyday.

Smiles sent your way today and everyday : )
