Living a life by design, your design ~ Smiles and Inspiration 2012 ~ Volume 2 Issue 15 Day 348 of 365 12/15/11

“Life is not about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself.”

~ George Benard Shaw

Have you found yourself yet?  No?  LOL.  Well look in the mirror, you will find yourself there.

Seriously I have heard time and time again from others, that they are working on finding themselves.  Usually its after a break up or a loss of something, job, friendship etc.

The are working on finding themselves and who they really are.

My request to them would be three things and these are all very simple.

First and I am serious about this look in the mirror.  There you are.  You found yourself, but this time look deep into the windows of your soul, what do you see?  Do you like what you see?  First reaction, quick question, and you need to answer it right away -  Do you like what you see?

The answer of truth in that moment will speak to you.

Lets say you say no, I really don't like what I see.  Lets run with that answer for now.

Well what do you like about you?  Start with your strengths and ask a more positive question.  Start with what is good about you.  Make a list if you have to.  Ask a friend if you have to but list on paper what your strengths are.

Focus on the redesign of you based on your strengths.

Start with your strengths and get your answer to the question above about liking yourself into that resounding 'YES'!

Work on your spoken gratitude.  Start with a smile everyday work it!  Work your heart and soul into a great euphoria!  Start today if you have a chance but start today.

Second thing on finding yourself, what are you goals?  Personal goals?  Do you have them? Do you have a gratitude journal?  Do you have a place where you record your life and its important moments, thoughts.  You heard this from others before if your life is worth living then its worth recording down on paper.

I don't live by chance.  I have goals, each day I review them, and each day I take a step closer to them.  Am I there yet?  No getting there, each day I write and share with you some tips on the simple sincere smile and its power to change another person. By the way in that mirror when your looking at you, your that other person right now so share your smile with you! : )(

Get some goals!  Write them down!  Take some time and just write what your really want for your life, this is your design process just write or type away.  Then go back and pick out the top 10 that you want in the next 5 years.  Then pick the two that you want in the next 2 years.  Then work on an action plan.  See yourself completing your goals.  Visualize in your mind the task already done.  Sense how you feel, what do you look like, take the time to see your future design and work towards that vision.  Create your design and run to it!

Third and final thing I would ask a person who wants to find themselves.

When is the last time your took time for you and prayed and meditated?

Prayer we give praise and give thanks to God for his creations and gifts.

Meditate and be still and quiet and listen for his direction and guidance.

Be still.....  Be quiet ..... Just be and just listen for that still voice.

When we ask better questions of ourselves we will get better answers.

The answers are already designed for us.  We just need to acknowledge them, grasp them, mold them and shape them.

So today.... Look in that mirror and ask....

Do you like what you see?

Share a smile with you and start to design a better you based on your strengths not your weaknesses.  Work from your best qualities and traits.

Write out and read your goals each day.  5 year and 2 year goals.  Get your gratitude journal and write in it what your grateful for.  Live a life that is worth writing down.

Live your life by Design!

Pray and be still each day in quiet reflection.  Give thanks and praise!  Listen, be still, be quiet.

Its your life!  Its your time to design your life.

You need to find yourself?  Look in the mirror ... there you are!  No design a better you if you must but like what and who you are!

So the weekly affirmation fits nicely here:

I design my life of purpose.  I will use the power of love and mindful words to help in my design and direction of a life of purposeful love.  I will not quit, I am successful in everything that I create as I create with intention to make a difference.  I am a winner, I am loved and I will share in my abundance of love to empower others.

Trust in these words this week,  Say them, repeat them and each day watch the shift in your beliefs.

Words with power, with emotion and words that will help affirm your design of a better you.

Use your mirror time and face time each day to review your design that your making for your life.  Take the time for you!  It is within you right now to make your day more joyful, happier, and designed the way you choose. Its your turn to act!

Smiles as always sent your way.  Today and always.

Your Daily Prayer

Lord, thank you for today!

Thanks for the quiet time I take to give you praise and share in my gratitude.

May I always find this time to speak your name.

Help me to live a life by design that I choose not one that is chosen for me.

Guide me and help me to rediscover my inner strength.  Help me to focus on love and sharing my love with others.

Help me to focus my strength on making a difference with the simple actions in life.

On keeping things more attainable and filling this time of year with the simple things of life.

Giving thanks

Showing appreciation

Expressing the real reason for the season.

For the power of words and your words that you placed in the Bible.

Thanks for the gift of love may I understand that everything was designed with love and only man and his wrong intentions created hate.

May I do my share to rebuke that.

Help all of us to become better givers of self.

Help us to become the gift that this world needs.

A bit kinder, more gentle, more in tune with the power and influence we really do all have.

To share to be that beacon of light.

To share a simple sincere smile.

To reach out with our hands and arms to help another person get a foot hold once again.

Help me to make a difference with a simple sincere smile, a kind word or even a act of kindness or love.

I give you praise and the glory for all of that

With humility and gratitude I thank you

Amen

Sharing a smile ~  Sending you love ~  Pass it on
