Lighting your Light for all to see : ) ~ Smiles and Inspiration 2012 ~ Day 16 of 366 ~ 01/16/12

People are like stained-glass windows.

They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but

when the darkness sets in their true beauty is

revealed only if there is light from within.

: o ) Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

How do you sparkle when darkness sets in?  In every life we have all had moments of darkness, a loss of a love, a loss of health, a loss of stability.  It happens and if it has not happened to you well, it will so get ready to have your light burn from within.

The moment of truth when everything goes dark is knowing that you have a switch to flip that will get you through such moments.

The switch can be based on faith in a higher power and prayer and meditation.

The switch can be based on having a firm foundation of self worth and self acknowledgment that you can overcome anything.

For some the switch is based on a addiction of sorts and that switch is the worst of all.  For that switch is only present to drag you down, hold you down, control you.

No addiction is good.  Anything that has control over your actions and thoughts and feelings will only counter attack your wisdom and possibility.

When you develop that burning light that can switch on when you most need it then others will wonder how you do it.  You will indeed become a light for another person who may want to seek a better path, a better way or just be given enough hope to move forward and out of the hole they think they are in.

How do I turn my light on?  For me its faith, understanding that having gratitude is the key to most things in this life.  Prayer and meditation helps.  Power of self belief in my abilities as a father, a writer, a sales guy. (PS we are all in sales some just do it for a living)

So thats my path.  What is yours?  How do you choose to fuel your light within?

The new affirmation for you and smiles as always sent your way : )

I create joy and happiness in the time that I am given.  Time is shared with those I care about and I freely give my gratitude to the choices I make.  Choices to laugh, love, think, share and create that which will empower my self and others.  I create joy and happiness and I empowered by those creations. Love follows me daily and I cherish its attention to my daily actions.

71 words that I hope starts to change your spirit from within.  The spirit that says, yes we can and we should make a difference.

Enjoy your week, share a smile, share in some laughter and dream big and love always : ) Smiles to you this day and everyday
