Its Only A Game : ) ~ Smiles and Inspiration 2012 ~ Day 7 of 365 ~ 01/07/12

“We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time”

~ Vince Lombardi

This weekend the NFL playoffs begin with the first round of gams Saturday and Sunday.  Four games in all.  The Pittsburgh Steelers play Sunday afternoon and trust me it will be a popular TV  audience all over the burg, my home town.   They will be rabid fans even in front of a TV.  They will enjoy with a passion a game that they have no impact in from such a far distance.

All will dress in the fan colors and all will be in a frenzy at kick off.

If they win pure jubilation, psst. They will win just to let you know.
If they lose it will be sadness, psst... no worries, they will win. LOL

Just saying positive thoughts bring positive results, right?  Sounds great!

But my thought about this weekend, this game, football is just that, just a game.

Oh sure, nobody likes to lose....win, win, win is a much better thought and goal. I understand that. I really do, but what if your team does lose?  Is it really worth getting that worked up about.  Its only a game.  Why should you sadness be enhanced.  Why?

Ok when the Steelers win, and they will.  Does extreme happiness cause any problems with our psyche?  Maybe if when they lose that same excitement is countered with extreme disappointment and sadness.

Don't let that extreme carry over into the negative.  Just get over it, your not getting paid from them if they win or lose are you?  From them not Vegas, just saying....lol.

By the way I never gamble on my Steelers don't want to jinx them.......It's only a game, LOL

The new affirmation for the week fits nicely here:

I embrace this new year and I am grateful for everything that is shared with me.  I succeed with ease because the energy flows with me, this energy aides me as I step further into the year.  I effortlessly acquire moments of kindness and love.  Love is all around and I am blessed to share my love and kindness with others.  I choose to share my smile and my laughter as it improves upon the landscape of life.  I always have the power of choice.  I choose to make a difference I succeed in making a difference daily.

This week 98 words to inspire and to affirm each day.  Say these words of magic a few times and allow them to flow into your mind and subconscious.

Watch the power of these words.  The power of I choose.  The power of now and today.

Use these words to make your day and the day of others a bit better.

Smiles as always sent your way.  Today and always. : )

May we also understand that worry must always be replaced faith and understanding in our abilities

We have the ownership of the thoughts and actions and may we realize that strengths that we do possess that can make the most difference in the lives of others.
