On the Attitude and Gratitude ~ Smiles and Inspiration 2012 ~ Volume 1 Issue 20 Day 324 of 365 11/20/11

If you don't like something, change it.

If you can't change it, change your attitude.

~Maya Angelou

It really is that simple to recognize the power of that statement.  But for so many we get wrapped up in the moment of fear, anger, bitterness, worry.  Why?  Because we enjoy those feelings?  Hardly.

For the most part people don't realize the attitude that they carry.   They don't take the time to see how others view them, or perhaps even take the time to step above the moment and see how it unfolds from the outside.

This technique of stepping outside of our moment and looking at things and how they unfold are very important to seeing things as others see them.  How we treat the other person in our life, how we treat ourselves.  The time we spend researching ourselves, our habits and taking time to pursue a better you will enhance your quality of life for years to come.

People may not recognize your change in habits at first you have taken much time and effort to condition them to the way they view you but in time they will see the changes.

Having an attitude that says, I can is perhaps the first step to accomplishment.
Having an attitude that says, I will is the next step into seeing your goals through.

Gratitude I feel is best described in these words:

The state of being grateful; warm and friendly feeling toward a benefactor; kindness awakened by a favor received; thankfulness.

Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

~Melody Beattie

How much gratitude in your life have you carried with you?

How much warmth and friendliness do you share to others?

How much peace do you have today?

Then indeed it is time to create a warm and grateful attitude for your future.

Start today.

Pray today.

Take time to be still and quiet and listen to your heart and your wants and start to fill in the missing parts with a new attitude that says I can and I will start to see my world with a better attitude.

Take the time to find those things that your grateful for.
Write them down.
Speak them out into the world.
Tell those around you how grateful you indeed are for who they are and what they bring you.

As always smile sent your way, this day and everyday   : )

Your Daily Prayer

Lord, thank you for the gratitude attitude that is present in my heart.

Help me always to be able to see outside of the moment and understand another persons point of view.

Allow this day to be a day  where I can share your word not only by word but by my actions.

Lord you know my heart and you know my faults.  May through my seeking your word and listening in that still quiet moment find wisdom and direction that guides me closer in thine will for me

Thank you for the gift of life and faith that your grace is enough.

May I appreciate life each day, the gift of love that you have placed in all of our hearts from birth.

May I talk time to share that love not only with myself but others.

I thank you for the gift of my family, my friends and for the gift of life.

I give you praise and the glory for all of that

With humility and gratitude I thank you

Amen

Sharing a smile ~  Sending you love ~  Pass it on
