“Goals are a means to an end, not the ultimate purpose of our lives.
They are simply a tool to concentrate our focus and move us in a direction.
The only reason we really pursue goals is to
cause ourselves to expand and grow.
Achieving goals by themselves will never make us happy in the long term;
it's who you become, as you overcome the obstacles necessary to
achieve your goals, that can give you the
deepest and most long-lasting sense of fulfillment.”
: o ) Anthony Robbins
Goals are meant to be stepping stones to the side that we wish to go towards.
Achievement is the end of the process that the goal started.
Spirit is the container in your soul that holds your passion to get the job done.
G.A.S. Goals Achievement Spirit
Do you have it?
What if you don't?
How do you get it?
Why would you want it?
Where would you find it?
The whole month of March we will answer these questions and within those 31 days we will uncover the essence of G.A.S. and what it can do for not only you but the people who discover it and become a frequent user of the steps and process.
For today lets just work on understanding why growth is so important.
Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the thousand small uncaring ways.
: o ) Stephen Vincent Benet
You have heard it before, we are either growing in life or dying in life. There is no status quo. We don't stand still we advance or we decline. We use our passion or passion wanders away to the next soul.
Apathy for self can be a cancer for the soul.
For me my goals are my children and their safety, happiness and growth. I love to hear them laugh. I truly love being a dad, a single dad at that but it is my greatest passion.
Next I love writing, it is a true passion that for me is part of spirit. Many times I write with one purpose... to inspire another soul.
Sure I want to entertain them, maybe educate them but to inspire or enlighten and cause them to sense that life can be more than just a mystery. Life can be brightened by a smile, some laughter, and a purpose to make a difference not just in ones own life but another's. Passing on the Smile, the joy and laughter with ease to pay it forward sort of speak.
That is why I write. That is my G.A.S. everyday that I sit at my computer.
The passion flows from my fingertips and words slide onto the screen waiting for the push of the button that says publish post or submit.
The Goal is to inspire.
The Achievement is when its published.
My Spirit is fed and validated when just one comments or emails me or says thank you.
Thats the G.A.S. and the growth of a spirit moves forward.
Growth, choose growth when you define your goals and place them on paper.
May your spirit push you towards a higher level of self and may you smile as you go forward.
Smiles shared with you today and everyday : )
(NEW) Weekly Affirmation for this week.
My foundations is built upon faith and love. Faith in my abilities and love for the self. I am a product of perfection and created for giving. I will not bow to others and words that tear down instead I will replace with words of love and smiles of courage and belief. I will overcome all obstacles through education, through planning and through failure. Yes failure happens but it is not what happens to us through failure it is what happens to our spirit when we overcome failure. Every time I breathe I am successful and growing in life. I am loved, I am grateful and I am designed to be successful in everything that I put my best efforts towards. Today I begin and continue my dreams.
Enjoy your week, share a smile, share in some laughter and dream big and love always : ) Smiles to you this day and everyday
