Every tomorrow has two handles.
We can take hold of it with
the handle of anxiety or the handle of faith.
~Henry Ward Beecher
Which handle do we so often choose? The handle of anxiety? Most sadly do choose that handle. But why? The other handle consists of faith.
We often worry so much about others and what they may do or say when in fact what others think of us is really none of our business. (Another favorite quote of mine).
Truly why should any of us give permission to another on how we should feel or how we should think about any given moment.
Never should we, never must we allow this to happen.
We control our thoughts, our actions and yes our amount of faith is in our control.
Prayer helps with faith. It builds up our connection with our creator and if we listen, and stay in quiet meditation we shall hear that still voice that comforts us. That heals and soothes our worries away.
Prayer is essential to leaving our worries away from our daily thoughts and actions.
Faith is necessary and a gift that is there for us all. We just need to behold it and keep it close to our heart and in our spirit.
So the next time your reach for the handle of tomorrow choose the handle of faith.
The gift of life what a gift it is. Sadly some allow life to drag them down, so far in fact that they take both hands off the wheel and they allow the wheel to spin out of control.
Maybe they even crash as life slips through their fingers. How sad that is.
Understand that your smile, your kind word, your eye contact may just make all the difference in a persons life.
Keep your eyes open for those moments.
Keep your heart open for those moments.
Keep alert and diligent you just may make all the difference.
